How many of you took APUSH in High School? I just took the exam and it's kind of a relevant topic since a bunch of states are trying to ban the new curriculum.

I did today, and it was the easiest test I have every taken.  Much better than the AP Lit that I took.

I took it as well and 5'ed it.

One of the easier AP exams.  I'm taking Gov soon and it should be of comparable difficulty.

I did not take it. Would probably have if I didn't have the teacher last year and she didn't think I was mentally challenged because I "had" Asperger's.

But that's another story for the next autism misdiagnosis discussion that seems to happen every year or so. She was a c**t.

Also, why don't we have a general AP discussion thread? I've taken a whole lot of them so if anyone needs any advice or to know anything about them you can PM me.

Yes, the lit test was hard, especially (if we got the same form) the prompt from that book where the boy almost got attacked by a dog in North Dakota and you had to analyze the environment they were in.

The DBQ on the US exam was great for me since I'm an environmental science student Cheesy

Environmental science dbq? Does that mean Teddy related or are they already back to Nixon after just four years?

On a tangential note, how was the AP Computer Science exam if anyone's taken it?  I am doing the late version for that test and I am curious how tough the coding was.

Got a "4" on APUSH, as well as English Lit (or whatever the English test I took was) and AP European History. I guess that makes me one of the dumb ones around here. Oh well.

I took it two years ago and got a 4. Easy class (great teacher, and I'm a history buff), so easy test. I never got why people freak out about the class/history in general. It's the easiest subject ever: you just remember who did what when and why.

Something about the environmental laws and policies from 1950 to 1980.

Took it in 11th grade, got a 5 on the AP test. Great class, great teacher. My teacher was a (fairly open minded) Republican from suburban Texas who let me borrow his copy of A People's History of the United States after telling me that the DBQ I wrote about the Populists made him think I might like it, which was more or less the first step on my path to becoming a socialist.

Same here.  Posting on Atlas is 10 times better prep than reading a review book.

For my class, we had to buy A People's History of the United States and were assigned weekly readings from it. I guess I naively assumed it was part of the standard APUSH curriculum.
