Biden's unpopular? That's news to me.

Seems the left love him, and the right begrudgingly respect him or at least love to hate him.

I don't think Joe Biden is unpopular.

Someone who comes to mind is Mark Dayton, but then again, he just won re-election, so how unpopular is he really?  I think his approval has been quite good as Governor.

Dayton is at 54% Approval as of late March:

I have my disagreements with him on ssm, abortion, and the Vikings stadium thing, and I wish he was less scared of Marijuana legalization. But I do really appreciate his devotion to balancing budgets, improving education, and improving the economy, and I feel he makes adequate attempts to find the compromises that exist. I endorsed him last year over that lame, ultra-conservative county commissioner who was dumb enough to run against him.

You're aware that the last two on your list profusely oppose the position you tout in your display name ( SSM support), while the first and fourth worked together to explode the deficit and ruin the economy, which republicans are supposed to be against doing, right?

Why?

Hayes wasn't a great president, but he wasn't terrible.  He gets a bad rap.  While the end or Reconstruction was bad, he personally favored civil rights for blacks and tried to protect them, though he probably trusted the South too much.

He was fairly progressive on some issues; he supported free public education and wanted to reduce the wealth gap.  Also, he did not "steal" the election of 1876.  If blacks had been able to vote freely throughout the South, Hayes would have won more decisively.
