Delayed revenge for the events of late 2003 perhaps?

To me, what this shows is that Osborne isn't nearly as competent as I thought he was.

I think that this is more likely to be a mixture of Tory power games and wanting to put the boot in Osborne rather than some recently found conscience over recent disability cuts, although I'd really like to be wrong.  There's also the fact that they're having to release the internal reviews of the Universal Credit system which seems to have been a right mess, and that was IDS's main policy while he was at the DWP - I'd source that but I haven't enough posts to include links apparently.

Incidentally, apparently IDS's replacement (Stephen Crabb, was Welsh Secretary) has some connection to some weird Christian organisation that believes that LGBTQ people can be cured, which isn't great - again can't post links, apparently they paid him to intern in parliament and then after he became an MP provided him with interns.

Very cool interactive map showing, down to an individual level, where Scotland's population is:

Interesting just how many tory MP's have came to IDS defense over this; especially considering how clear he was about disagreeing with both the cuts, the budget and the direction of the Tory Party. Even Robin Cook's resignation wasn't as stinging ( Although I do recall Geoff Hoon threating to 'bring down the government' over David Kelly) One irony is that it was Cameron and Osborne who use to advise IDS before PMQs back when he was leader

Clearly the outcome of the EU ref, and any tory leadership is going to be very interesting for political sport

For some reason Osborne's reputation constantly shoots up and down with every bit of economic news and everybody immediately forgets their previous assessment of him.

I remember him being hailed as the tories hero after the 2015 conference, and his 'we are the builders speech'. He'll only lose his job if Cameron goes; they've been a team for 11 years now and much like Blair/Brown they've been effective (However unlike the two they actually get along) Any talk of him getting sacked is a load of rubbish

Much like they're general election video at first I hated it, but I can appreciate it. They're moving close to getting my second preference purely for this advert

I love how Corbyn made half a grand last year taking surveys.

If you look MPs interest declarations, a lot are paid to answer polls (once or twice a month), and they are usually paid 30 to 50£ per poll.

I've read Tom Watson in the NS yesterday and saw some of his activities lately, I think he's trying to shape a Wilson tech-savvy image and he polls it very well. Would very much like to see him in the mix when the trots gone

Dave Nellist was expelled about thirty years ago IIRC.

I don't know, I can't think of any particular instances in which the West Yorkshire police were lacking.

Out of curiosity, what would have happened if Scotland and Wales rejected devolved Assemblies in their respective referendums in 1997? I know it was close in Wales.
