Funny how the Blairite robots are launching a collective avalanche of attacks on Ed Miliband for being too left-wing, despite the fact that a hefty majority supports things such as the renationalization of the major public utilities - something which was never even contemplated by the leadership during the past five years. Expel these windbags, seriously.

The more I read about Priti Patel the more putrid she seems.

If the Tories are serious about legalising fox hunting that is excellent news. Promising to ban it is a proven vote winner for Labour, don't forget!

I hope Kwesi Kwarteng gets some sort of job- supposed he's amongst those tipped for Pensions. Supposedly he is related to an "uncle" of mine, although sometimes I feel like half of Ghana is related to his family one way or another.

Either way, there are still three Ghanaian Tory MPs, while a woman named Priti Patel is in a position where she can gain Maddy's disgust. This is why I like the Tories (or one reason why).

There's fair arguments against the modernisers' response but this isn't one of them - people will say they support all kinds ludicrous  of things in the abstract but would never vote for a party promising to do them. How many votes do you think a party promising to bring back the death penalty (which has majority support) would get?

Also lol yes Labour should expel those who say it needs to reclaim the centre ground. No compromise with the electorate!

I think it's time to take that word away from them. 1995 was twenty years ago.

Senior Conservatives said they were “furious at the BBC’s coverage” of the election campaign and accused the corporation of an “unforgivable pro-Labour bias”.

Fycking hilarious. The only bias was in the other direction. But suck it up BBC; being supine gets you nowhere with people who hate you for your very existence.

“The monthly Scottish Questions in Parliament looks set to be an odd affair.

Under the current system the Secretary of State for Scotland (the one Tory MP) will answer six questions from the Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland (the one Labour MP), while 56 SNP MPs watch on from the back benches and are allowed to ask one question.”

To go further in detail, not only has the rumble over Carswell declining the short money continued (someone from Farage's office called him a "c*nt"), but UKIP's campaign manager and economics spokesman Patrick O'Flynn (a Desmond goon) has stuck his boot into Farage, claiming Nigel is a thin-skinned agressive "absolute monarch". Much like an medivael monarch, dissenting factions fearing retribution (inluding UKIP's Press Office in UKIP's Mayfair HQ) are mainly taking their ire on King Nigel's advisors, who have poisoned the good king's mind with Satanic "Tea Party" ideals.

UKIP's major moneyman Stuart Wheeler wants Farage to resign, because he is too polarising to lead an EU referedum.

I wonder how long it takes for the UKIP MEP contingent to splinter into a hundred squabbling factions like last time around.

I was surprised to see that the people on the anti-EU blog "Eureferendum" (run and dominated by people solidly to the right, for those who haven't heard of it) regard Farage as a total embarrasment and bufoon. Apparently, he's seen as a massive liability for their cause, and they fear that his presence will destroy their chances in the referendum.

Have their been any rumours on a specific date for the EU referendum, btw?

Support for remaining in the EU has increased since UKIP's star began to rise, so yeah.

The disadvantage of acquiring "major party status" is that TV covers you in a lot more depth (NB the Lib Dems have lost that I believe).
