Yes, if Cruz or Carson implodes. She can raise money with her SarahPAC, she throws red meat to the conservative base, and she's popular with the grassroots. But she won't win the nomination.

No. I questioned her nomination from the start, and it took just 2 weeks for her to become the butt of jokes. No GOP voter wants that, and I see no real potential for crossover voters to give her the nod (like Dems for McCain in 2000 in MI, for example). She seems better at energizing the conservative base than in actually running for anything; after all she stepped down as AK gov in 2009.

No. Palin can't run against other Republicans. If she actually had to debate Walker, Bush, Paul, etc and couldn't hide behind liberal media excuse, the jig would be up.

Very much true!  Palin could have been the nominee in 2012.  It would have been a hoot, but she wouldn't have done as well as Romney did.

Sometimes, the passage of time helps put a candidate's gaffe's in better perspective.  Palin's problem is that time has revealed her to be a person of no substance.  Quitting the AK Governorship in mid-first term made her look like a quitter.  Not running for either of AK Senate seats made her look like a coward.  She's had a reality TV show that didn't help her image.  The GOP knows she'll lose if nominated, and they'll do anything to derail the nomination of a SURE loser.

Probably not, but she has a better chance of winning it than Ben Carson does, and would probably win more electoral votes against Hillary than he would too.

To expand on this, I believe if Palin ever jumped into another election as a candidate, there would be no end from the press and from her opponents campaign with a constant stream of all the stupid things Palin has said ever since she entered public life.

Any political comeback she attempted I believe would be doomed from the start.

No.  I get it's funny to suggest that she could, perpetuating the belief that the GOP has gone off the deep end, but she has ZERO chance.
