Super moderate Republican who reluctantly voted for Romney, despite feeling he was too fatalistic on President Obama's performance. Chafee, the former Republican, with fiscally and socially moderate views would be a great fit for this guy.

Alternatively, he could just be a guy who thinks that white guys with New England roots are just the bee's knees.

Maybe WalterMitty several years ago (I was bored and browsing the History section one time [God, we used to have some retardedly simplistic topics/responses!] and noticed that he had a blue avatar in the past).

Lifelong Yankee Republican from Massachusetts who is old enough to remember when the GOP still had a significant Yankee/New England presence at the national level, who has fond memories of Romney's Governorship (despite being disappointed with Romney's pandering to the Right in the 2012 primaries) and who, being increasingly out of step with the national party, reluctantly switches to the Democrats to vote for Lincoln Chaffee.

An upper-middle class man who lived in Massachusetts during Romney's Governorship. Being impressed by it, he moved to Rhode Island in 2007-2008. Also being impressed with Chafee's time as Governor, he would move back to Massachusetts in 2012/2013, and voted for Charlie Baker then.

A socially liberal old-money Republican from a suburb of Providence who's a personal friend of Chafee.

Republican who worked on Chafee's 2006 campaign and still has a personal devotion to Chafee despite otherwise being a generic Republican. Writes in Chafee's name on the Republican ballot.
