Okay, wait. Why is Cap a Democrat and why is Stark a Republican? Regarding Stark, I always thought of him as libertarian-leaning, so I can see him being a Republican, but Rogers as a Democrat? I don't know, he'd be a very conservative Democrat.

Anyway...

Rogers: 277
Stark: 261

In a close election, this could be the map.

I'm imagining the debates right now. This election would be great. Cheesy

Rogers is a Dem just for the sake of this excersize. Give him NH, too. He's more libertarian than Stark.

He's Captain America, of course he's going to win.

Steve Rogers was a New Deal Democrat. He voted FDR in '36 and '40.

Yeah, Rogers is pretty liberal in the comics. Just read any issues involving him that came out around the time of Watergate.

I have it flipped if you're using today's context. Stark being a "Bill Gates" Dem and Steve being a Paulite GOP.

Yes Steve voted for FDR but I could easily see him voting for both Reagan and Ike and despising both parties in the 1970's

Stark could fit easily as a "establishment" politico on either side but I could never see him staying in the GOP. So he's the Dem in mine.

Honestly I wouldn't be voting for Stark, I'd be voting for Robert Downey Jr. He's just too damn charismatic. I could just see him in the debates.

Let's not kid ourselves here. The living embodiment of patriotism and American values would utterly crush an alcoholic, womanizing plutocrat who made his fortune selling weapons.
