Alright, if we are ever going to get electoral reform in Atlasia, we need to make sure whatever it is we propose has the support of the voters. So, I will be running a series of polls to find out what the national consensus is. First of all, should we even bother with reform?

If a majority votes yes, the next question will be whether or not we should add a House of Representatives.

Poll will be for 3 days.

Yes, obviously. But with the failure of districts most of the other proposals are hopeless. In particular bicameralism is a disastrous idea.

I am convinced there is a set of reforms that the Forum can get behind. This is why I plan to do a series of polls to find out.

So am I, which is why I suggested that national conversation idea - and we've had a few good ideas on there already.

The amendment proposals reached 50% of the overall vote in the four regions that required a referendum on the issue - so there is clearly support for change, it's just finding the right system.

Didn't polling show that the Electoral Reform Amendment had overwhelming support at the start as well?

Yes. There's a chasm between the active population and the zombie population, as there is in almost all votes.

Yes, but as Oakvale said, some people will not engage as often on this part of the site - and thus wouldn't have taken part in opinion polls on the subject.
