Just saw this on Twitter. Count this as a GOP loss, as underrated as Johnson is.

Just saw this on Twitter. Count this as a GOP loss, as underrated as Johnson is.

Johnson is a crafty campaigner and you know he's going to get a lot of money. I think Johnson's best bet would be for Walker to be the Republican nominee. Even if Clinton still beats Walker in Wisconsin, it would be much closer than both Obama elections. The coattails plus Johnson's incumbency could help him eek out a win. Also if Feingold is dumb enough to unilaterally disarm when it comes to outside money, Johnson could still win.

Even with all that, this race is definitely Lean D now.

Good; this will be fun watching Johnson go down.

Fantastic candidate!

I would be inclined to say Feingold is so popular that he might actually lower the GOP's chances of carrying Wisconsin in the presidential election...

No surprise. I'll go out on a limb here: If Johnson survives, the Senate will stay Republican and Democrats will probably lose the presidency, too. This race is a must-win for Democrats.

Let's hope that Waukesha County doesn't "find" any votes that save Johnson.

Well yes, when a party loses a race they're favored in they probably aren't doing too well that cycle

That's not going out on a limb, that's sitting down on a tree stump.

Fantastic news, Feingold is great. It'll be interesting to see him alongside Elizabeth Warren.

I wonder if Feingold knew that being the only Senator to vote against the PATRIOT Act would lead to unparalleled popularity on Atlas Forum.
