With the presidential race winding to a close, the Mideast Record-Courier is now prepared to project the outcome of the remaining uncalled Senatorial races. Current counts in each of the Regions are as follows:

For Northeast Senate (52% Turnout)
✓ Talleyrand (IND): 14 (61%)
Rpryor (CR): 8 (35%)
Dr. Cynic (LAB): 1 (4%)

With turnout now above 50% in Atlasia's northernmost Region, the Mideast Record-Courier is now projecting that incumbent Senator Talleyrand has won a second term in the Senate, defeating Civic Renewal challenger Rpryor by a decisive margin.

For Pacific Senate (40% Turnout)
✓ Turkisblau (TPP): 10 (100%)

Likewise, we are projecting that former Speaker of the Council Turkisblau has been elected to a full term in the Senate. While Mr. Turkisblau had no declared opponent in this race, low turnout in the Region compelled us to withhold a projection until the viability of a write-in campaign became clear. At this point, we find the prospect of a last-minute write-in campaign unlikely, and the possibility that such a campaign could defeat Mr. Turkisblau even unlikelier.

In the three remaining races, projected winners New Canadaland (Mideast), Snowguy716 (Midwest), and PiT (South) continue to lead their opponents by wide margins:

For Mideast Senate (65% Turnout)
✓ New Canadaland (LAB): 19 (61%)
Lumine Von Reuental (CR): 12 (39%)

For Southern Senate (59% Turnout)
✓ PiT (FED): 12 (60%)
Hagrid (IND): 7 (35%)
SWE (LAB): 1 (5%)

For Midwest Senate (31% Turnout)
✓ Snowguy716 (LAB): 8 (67%)
RFayette (TPP): 2 (17%)
Hashemite (VGAV): 1 (8%)
Ilikeverin (TD): 1 (8%)

With little over half an hour left in the voting period, Speaker Dkrol has slightly increased his share of the electorate, though President Bore is still projected to win in the final round. Current tabulations are as follows:

For President (61% Turnout)
✓ Bore (LAB): 47 (42%)
Dkrol (CR): 38 (34%)
Flo (TPP): 18 (16%)
Bacon (IND): 9 (8%)

For President (FINAL ROUND)
✓ Bore (LAB): 66 (61%)
Dkrol (CR): 43 (39%)
Exhausted: 3

Based on these results, the Mideast Record-Courier has the following projection to make:

✓ DKROL (CR)
has carried the South

✓ BORE (LAB)
has carried the Pacific

Atlasia's northernmost region is the Pacific, home to Alaska, not the Northeast.  Even the Midwest is further north, since it includes the Northwest Angle of Minnesota, the northernmost point in continental Atlasia.

Actually, if you want to get technical, the Mideast is the northernmost region. Nunavut is north of Alaska.

Nunavut is part of Canada, not Atlasia ot the Mideast.  Atlasians living there, though, can vote in Mideast elections.
