I met BB King about 15 years ago at Guitar Center in Boston.  At the time I wasn't buying a guitar or else I would have asked him to sign it.  He signed a couple of guitars that some folks were buying that day.  I also saw a BB King show at the Commonwealth Armory sometime in the late 90s.  Cool dude.

RIP Mr. King.  His legacy lives through his music.  I enjoy listening to his music.  I enjoy music from that era.

We're losing artists from his era at a rapid rate nowadays.  We seem to lose one every quarter or so.  Today's music just doesn't have the same appeal to me as the music from my parents' and grandparents' generations.

I am shocked by this, I always thought you were B.B. King, but now I know you lied.

RIP BB, RIP.

So you named yourself "King" out of pure delusion of grandeur?

A wonderful musician and a wonderful man. I encourage all of you to listen to the last album he did before he died, because it's frankly one of the best works he's ever done. And that's saying quite a lot.

King's kids claim that their father was poisoned by his business managers.  Sigh.  Unfortunately, the sniping over the assets King left behind has already begun, and no one but the lawyers are likely to win.

James Brown's estate is still in legal limbo and he died nine years ago.
