From either Joe Miller or St. Sen. Mike Dunleavy. They'll supposedly decide who runs for what.

For the one who primary's Young I wish the best luck, and for the one who primary's Murkowski, I hope they lose in a nice landslide, or lose a la 2010.

Young will probably be fine in a primary, since he's corrupt but puts himself out there as adequately conservative, but we'll see. Murkowski, on the other hand, has only gotten less popular with GOPers. I suspect she falls in the primary.

Both of them are awful and I hope they both get sacked.

LOL Joe Miller. Does he ever get tired of losing?

This is only his third run for office. And he almost won the first time, and the second time he did significantly better than expected in the primary.

The suppression of legitimate challengers, (see McCain) opens up more downside risk to the seats falling then if they had let them run in the first place. If the other potential challengers forgo the race, that merely improves the chance that Miller will win the primary again. That said, I do expect more candidates that just him to get in.

I have longed for that day, for almost a decade.

I hate both Young and Murkowski, so I would like both gone. However, I'd support Murkowski over Miller. I'd support Miller over Young.

Well, a Murkowski was successfully primaried. Palin was the winner.

Miller would be a terrific Congressman, so I hope he goes in that direction.

Miller blew the Senate race in 2010, losing to Murkowski as a write-in.  The RSCC would probably like someone else, but he'd be viable against Young, who's a fossil.

The eclipse of Palin helps Murkowski.  When Frank Murkowski was elected Governor, he looked far and wide and fount his own daughter, Lisa Murkowski, as the bestest, most specielist, wonderfulest person in the whole wide Last Frontier to be Alaska's newly minted US Senator.  And she survived being elected in her won right in 2004, but got dumped in the primary in 2010.

People don't like nepotism, and the nepotism that Murkowski used to gain a Senate seat has always been resented by a number of Alaskans, and a number of Alaska Republicans.  It was one of the issues that Sarah Palin ran on in 2006 to oust Frank Murkowski in the GOP Gubenatorial primary.  (Truthfully, as much as I detest Palin, I believe that SHE could beat Murkowski in 2016 if she stayed focused, but I don't think she wants the actual work that being an elected official brings.)

That's what I was saying. He should definitely go for Young's seat.

I hate Young, but Miller wouldn't be any better. Hopefully Begich runs against Young. Young's underperformance against D-Listers in 2014 showed he's not unbeatable in the general anymore.

Couldn't happen to two better people. Entrenched RINOs gotta go. On a personal level, Young is simply not a nice person. Retire already.

There is still significant opposition to the Alaksa Political elite, even if Palin has long set sail on her home state. The defenestration of Parnell, the success of Sullivan over Treadwell and the underperformance of Don Young suggests that Murkowski is theoretically at risk.

Personally I hope the other Dan Sullivan runs and wins, for obvious reasons.
