AP says no call, still military ballots to count and still disagreement on what's out or in.

WTF AP? You add in 12 more precincts but leave the #GOPGOV vote totals exactly the same for Bevin and Comer?

They very well could have been inner-city Louisville precincts or empty precincts with zero votes in the Republican Primary.  Or that there were outstanding precincts could have been a mistake.  Both have happened before.

Quarles has apparently won by 806 votes, but no checkmark.

On the basis of primary votes cast by party, Democrats in Kentucky should be worried for November.  For those offices where both parties have contested races, there are more votes cast for Republican candidates than for Democratic candidates.

I don't recall this having ever happened statewide in Kentucky before - ever.

Governor, D - 178,514
Governor, R - 214,187

State Treasurer, D - 163,804

The Kentucky State Board of Elections' website shows the same result as AP and AoSDDHQ - Bevin +83.  But they claim there are still precincts outstanding in Jefferson County (Louisville).

Edited to add: A quick check of the precincts outstanding shows that 1 vote was cast in all of them combined for the 2014 Republican Senate primary.

Jefferson says they're all in. Also, via Trey Grayson, here's the recanvass procedure.

That would be good, I think I saw Comer doing god awful in Jefferson County (one of the lone Heiner strongholds).

These super-close primaries in non-runoff states is why runoffs are a good thing. They remove any doubt about the preference of the primary electorate and help to unify the party more.

So it's a virtual tie between a mega tea partier/snake oil salesman and a domestic abuser? Thanks, Kentucky Republicans!

They were both Tea Party. It appears as if Bevin won the suburban Tea Party, while Comer won the rural Tea Party.

The urban Tea Party is practically nonexistent. It consists wholly of the 80-year-old who calls the police because someone lit a firecracker.

And to think the 3rd place finisher was the worst of the lot!

I'm fine either way, but I think Comer is safer though it seems many may disagree with that. Likely would govern better as well.

Domestic abuse doesn't play well in the general, you see. And I don't even like Matt Bevin much, I just want crass opportunist Jack Conway to be beat.

Because he is. The man has been on every side of every issue. Even MSNBC moderators like Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews have called him on it.

If Bevin wins, I will change my rating for the GE to Leans D.
If Comer wins, the GE will remain a Toss-Up.

I'm trying to upload the Kentucky results onto the website, but every time I put in the information, the website says the year is invalid (I have put '2015' for both columns that say 'Year'), is there something wrong?

Putting this here so no one has to endure the pain of uploading ~100 counties
