Who carried more CDs in 2000, Bush or Gore?

Awarding EVs by CD as ME and NE do, in all 50 states, is often suggested as a way to "tweak" the EC as opposed to abolishing it. Under such a scheme, had Gore won 227 (out of 435) CDs, assuming that one DC elector didn't go all faithless on him, he would have won without FL.

Bush...In MN for example Bush carried 5/8 CDs.

In 2012, Obama carried fewer CDs than Dukakis did in 1988. Showing just how concentrated the Dem vote is in big cities and how it is nearly impossible for the Dems to win by the House.

Bush.

Gore carried the smaller districts in the bigger states but Dubya got the southern/plain states to get himself going.

No, Dukakis only won about 140 House districts, while Obama took around 210.

Sorry it was counties. Dukakis won over 800 and Obama won less than 700.
