Still Bush. I've been convinced of that since November 7, 2012.

Same for me, but Walker. Tongue

Only one Ted Cruz vote?

Here's why her's underrated:

Movement conservatives and social conservatives are Cruz-Crazy.

They're a big factor in Iowa, where Cruz may be better positioned than anyone but the fragile Walker

It's true Huckabee and Santorum didn't convert Iowa wins into nominations but Huckabee had a real chance to win South Carolina. If he had, who knows? Santorum only won by 8 votes and wasn't even known to be the winner until Gingrich was already leading or closing in on Romney in South Carolina.

He'd have fewer hurdles than Huckabee who wasn't just rejected by the establishment but also some anti-establishment opinion leaders like Limbaugh who railed against Huckabee (but loves Cruz). He's a much, much better fundraiser than either Huckabee or Santorum.

Yeah the establishment would work hard to stop Cruz if he won Iowa, but it's not clear to me they could. Even less clear if he wins both Iowa and South Carolina.

Cruz may have some support from the fringe elements of our party, but he has no real chance given how crowded the evangelical/religious right field will be. I don't see Cruz winning Iowa to be honest, on average he is polling in 5th in Iowa, I know it is still early but he hasn't been making momentum in Iowa. Even if he did, I just don't see him winning New Hampshire, South Carolina or even Nevada.

Cruz and Kasich made it way farther than they should have.

It's easy to laugh at this a year later, but who saw this coming?

The poll never specifies 2016, I guess. Many of these people still have a chance at being the nominee sometime down the road.

The moment Trump entered the race, my mom (a neocon who despises him with all her being) called the race for him. Smart woman. Except for the neocon bit.

Now she says he'll win the general.  Blames the media. Is ashamed of her country, as am I.

To be fair, this was made 2 months before Trump even declared.

To my (lack) of credit, I voted for Walker.

Um. . . None Of These? Wink

But no, this has been an unusual one. Trump took on city hall and won, beat out 16 or 18 people, and unified the rank and file behind a campaign that excoriated free trade and lobbying, decried the decline of industry, and demanded tougher immigration standards. Got my attention right when I was prepared to tune this thing out. Meanwhile, Hillary has run an even more standard-talking-points style campaign than I expected and has failed to unite the party against Bernie, who I think most saw as running just so there'd be something to talk about.

I voted for Walker, but I will confess to having been one of Trump's earliest boosters on AAD.

Didn't vote back then, but I was sure that it would be Jeb. Had someone told me a year ago that the Trumpster would be the nominee, my response would have been: “Before that actually happens, the pope converts to Islam.”

I greatly feared Walker because of his credibility among white, middle-class moderates.

I didn't count on his massive derpitude.

Looks like I voted Kasich.  Boy was that way off.
You can be content knowing that everyone who voted in this poll was wrong, so you weren't alone.

There's also the fact that Kasich stayed in longer than Yeb!, Little Marco, and Walker.

I think Walker would've been worse than Trump, but I would've picked Bush a year ago.

I voted Rubio in this one, though IIRC, this was around the time in the race that I was split in my thinking between Rubio and Walker.
