I'm definitely considering it.  Many people are concerned about how I haven't posted enough on the fantasy forums, and that's understandable.  Right now, I'm knee deep in school work and my job in real life.  Also I think it's better to read before posting, so I've been spending much of the time on this forum reading the various statutes and constitutions.  I would be running as a Libertarian senator of course. Hopefully since out base has recently expanded to more than just Dibble, I think there'd be a good deal of support I could get.  More on a platform if I decide to run, but I can basicly sum it up to say I run on a platform of supporting civil liberties and a free market economy.

I don't think you'd be in my district, but I would support you if you were.

By all means; more libertarians in the Senate would do no harm.

I'd prefer not because you'd be running against me! Smiley

You should definitely run.  The more candidates the better!

He would be running for the Mideast Regional Seat, which Virginia is definately in...

BTW, you should run just for the sake of keeping the game interesting (all but two races unopposed last election was a joke).

would I really be representing Virginia?  It looks like my region represented Virginia in the last redrawing of districts, but not the current one.

You would be running for a regional seat, which has different boundaries than a district seat.

Since the new Constitution is now in effect, the seat up for election in July will be the Mideast seat, not the District 3 seat, and the Mideast (currently, at least) does contain Virginia.

Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin, plus DC are the states you would represent, btw

all right, got it, found the map.  This is exactly why I'm simply considering a run and not jumping straight into it.

What every happened to people staying around for a little bit to learn the ropes before they threw themselves into the political arena.

I didn't do that either but I picked a race that was 4 months away so I had time during the campaign! Smiley  I DID lose that race though.

Yes, I would support you in a senate run.  Can't promise you a first preference, but a preference you would receive nonetheless.
