Yes this is a troll question, but given the predictions leading up to 2014 and the reactions thereafter I think it is a very relevant scenario to ponder.

But yes I know, POLLS ARE GOD!!

I'd imagine there would be a lot of bitterness.

If she randomly loses leading in the polls? I'd be pretty shocked.

If she fumbles it aways to a surprisingly great candidate? Meh, I would probably be supporting that person anyway

Many would discuss "low turnout" and "voter suppression"

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Hillary were leading the polls within the margin of error, but yeah, expect a lot of bitterness on here if Republicans pull a Cameron or Netanyahu and defeat her despite the polls.

She will take it in stride; like John McCain and Romney lost two times as well. Dems intend on picking up senate, winning IND and NC govs and keeping presidency.

Should she lose on primary; Bill Clinton will embrace Gov OMalley, as fmr President of Dems and fully support him.

I'm sure all the left-wingers on here would be ecstatic that that neoliberal warmonger bitch was defeated by a true champion of the people and non-intervention like Scott Walker.

Koch brothers have their man, and they got the senate.  It will be another in 2 years, and Dems will be emboldened to win with all the term limited GOVS.

Well they'll get to feel self-righteous for four years at least.

Unfortunately for you guys,  we'll never see people on this board react to that. Not because they won't react to it, but because it will never happen. I support Martin O'Malley and I still know that Hillary will be elected in November of 2016.

But, if Hillary crashes before the election, nobody will be surprised. If she is shown as leading by a big margin, people will be more confused than upset if she were to lose. If she loses in a narrow election, then people will bring up things like "voter suppression is why (probably Bush) was able to win!" and "low turnout killed Hillary!"

She will be a two time loser; like McCain and Romney are.

Look; Dems are somewhat disadvantage given this is a 3rd term Dem try.  But, the GOP party is still splintered with tea party; which is their spoiler. Like Green Party Nadar was with Gore and Kerry.

In the primary? Extreme happiness

In the general? Anger, and an attempt to blame literally everything except Hillary and her platform and campaign.

Economy is still a factor on minds; as hours or wages are still lower than what it should be.

But, Dems are certainly better off than in both midterms.

Sell off all securities, because if you thought the economic meltdown of 2007-2009 was bad, wait until you see the one that begins in 2017. After about a year and a half it will look like the one that started in 2007.

So did the economic meltdown beginning in 1929. There won't be any semblance of a recovery until 2020. Maybe we will abolish the pesky 22nd Amendment.

Primary: Feel Great because Bernie beat her.
General: Great because Bernie got ballot access into all states.

Lots of joke "LOL INEVTIABLE HILLARY" threads either way.

In the primary: complete and utter shock from most people.

In the general: Belief among Democrats that it was due to "low turnout", belief among Republicans that the blue wall is history, and that Republicans will dominate politics until 2022, if not 2024.

I'm looking forward to Democrats talking about skewed polls when they correctly predict a defeat.

Leaving aside that I don't think Clinton will lose in 2016, here is my prediction: some will be upset, to varying degrees, ahile some will be pleased, to varying degrees.
