This.  I don't agree with him on everything (his opposition to the CRA was a straight slap in the face to the Party of Lincoln, and near unforgivable, regardless of his good record on those issues before that), but he was a good man who stood by what he believed in.  He also warned against letting the Religious Right get too much power in the GOP, and boy was he right.
