Gotta love the randomness of the draw. For matchup 3 we have two of the more polarizing Democrats to run for the Presidency as an independent candidate.  1968 Candidate George Wallace (the last Indy to win a state,) and John C Breckinridge the 1860 Southern Democratic candidate  (the youngest VP ever and the only one to be convicted of treason.)

Both are men of their era's and are rough spots for the party. But both had successful Indy campaigns in both years and accomplished many. The question is, which of these two men would have been the better President?

I'll do another one of these potentially in a few to offset the hatred for both candidates. As for now, have fun and remember there must be a winner.

Both are terrible options, but Wallace didn't commit Treason, so I guess I'll vote for him.

Wallace, given that he wasn't a traitor, plus he did get better later in his political career. Wouldn't vote for either in an election though.

Breckinridge was racist and a traitor while Wallace was just racist, so Wallace I guess. Both deserved to be boiled alive, though.

Is there a particular reason why you're misspelling the word loser?

I voted for Wallace.

I just wanted to know if you were doing it for irony or what.

Wallace-33 (28 Poll Votes, 5 Comments) 94.29%

Breckinridge-2 (2 Poll Votes) 06.71%

Well it's a landslide folks. Wallace made easy work of his rival Breckinridge who never stood a chance. Wallace made his line in the sand and stood in the doorway of victory never breaking a sweat. On to the next 'round Georgie..
