Because Coolidge has a sizable libertarian fan-base that Raygun could never have with his bloody foreign policy.

Coolidge spoke out against lynching, Reagan started his campaign in lynch central advocating for "state's rights".

That's the tip of the iceberg.

Reagan signed MLK day

Reagan policies created more jobs then any other president since WW2 other then Clinton(Who by the was a Conservative Democrat)

Reagan finished off what Nixon started( the end of the Soviet Union) by having the guts to bankrupt them

Reagan brought national pride back

The country was better when Reagan left then when he took office

He aided extremely brutal regimes around the world. Coolidge, whatever his endless faults, did not.

FDR helped Stalin defeat germany. At the time USSR was the biggest evil and we needed to defeat it at all costs. Today my policy would be to team up with Iran to stop ISIS

-Initially opposed MLK Day, caved to pressure.

-The jobs were largely low-wage and without health benefits. And poverty and the murder rate was high.

-Less than 50 percent of Americans expressed trust in the government in all eight years he was in office. In 1964, 70% of Americans trusted the government. Not much "national pride."

And please assert how he bankrupted the USSR.

Median Household income went up from 46000(2012 value) when he took office to  51681 when he left office(2012 value). This though means more as inflation dropped by over 10% in his term. Carter presidency had no median income increase and inflation rates skyrocketed during his term .
