On the Democratic side, the male/female split is interesting:

Sanders 19%

Sanders's best group is the self-described "very liberal", who give him 36% support.  He's only at 19% among "somewhat liberal" voters, and 17% among "moderates".

Keep in mind a significant chunk of the Obama caucus attendees in '08 were well-off and highly educated, especially in King County. The lefty candidate was Edwards; the Clinton/Obama split wasn't really ideological.

I think a better comparison would be the 2004 caucuses, with Sanders playing the role of Howard Dean. Result was 48% Kerry, 30% Dean, 8% Kucinich, 7% Edwards - and that was nearly three weeks after the Dean Scream.
