As time has gone by it has become increasingly clear that he was seriously wrong about a lot of the subjects that he professed expertise in (and his remaining acolytes in academia should probably come to terms with that). Nevertheless he was a very important intellectual figure.

I was recently introduced to his ideas (less than two months ago). Definitely some interesting ideas. I'd lean FF.
