In some of the eastern counties, Grimes did better in the 2011 general than she did in this primary. 'Looks like some damage from the Senate race.

Harlan County in particular has turned into a real cesspool (I guess the carpet now matches the drapes), compared to even just 15 years ago. I bet Conway won't even manage to lose it by single-digits this time around.

Beshear won it by 35 points last time.

On the other hand, it's not exactly a growing county, and turnout has been terrible there in recent years.

Beshear won it by 35 points in 2007. He won it by less than 3 in 2011.

Hasn't Harlan County always been horrible?

Yes but it used to vote Democrat, which is what I assume made it less of a cesspool in Adam's mind.

Frankfort, some places in northern Kentucky, some places around Glasgow, and Woodford County.

Also known as the fast-growing areas.

Comer concedes to Bevin after a review of county returns yields the same result.

Matt Bevin Was the Only Republican Candidate for Governor at the ‘Unity Rally’

Kentucky Republican Party leaders held a “unity rally” on Saturday to show support for their newly minted slate of candidates for statewide public office.

But not every leader showed up.

Conway should be slightly favored at this point, the GOP looks to be fragmented, and it's not a safe bet that it'll be re-united by the general. All three GOP candidates suck regardless, so that doesn't help.

Great work!  The Democratic Treasurer Primary map is pretty spectacular.  Also noticed that the GOP AG COMM map looks similar to the 1992 Presidential Election by CD.
