Then why do Americans agree with "latte liberals" on marriage equality, abortion, marijuana, gun control, civil liberties, and more?

Americans overwhelmingly oppose Gun Control. Lowest on record. Support for the prochoice position peaked in the early 1990s and has dropped since.
Latte Liberals have as the center of their ideology is that America is an unjust and unfair nation.

The other issues such as marijuana, civil liberties are libertarian not liberal. Rand Paul supports those positions and Obama has been awful on civil liberties.
