I agree unfortunately regarding Huck picking solely Christian bretheren to support, but is there much doubt this man seems to have turned his life around? We are but outsiders so it may all be just a visage, but Duggar truly seems to be living virtuously post-intervention.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with redemption.  Being a Christian means hoping that all might one day be redeemed.  When it comes to child sex crimes and premeditated murderers, however, the perpetrators will have to seek redemption in the next world.  Not because they are inherently irredeemable, but because of public safety.

Isn't this the worst of the evangelical craziness? 

Anyone who is a born-again Christian is a "good person" even if they do horrible things. 
Anyone who is gay, or atheist, or Jewish, or Hindu, or non-evangelical Christian is a horrible sinner who is going to hell.

It's true that we shouldn't just send someone to prison forever because they do something like this and you can try to forgive people for awful things.  But, among the things you can do, this is one of the worst.  If you abuse children, you're not a "good person."  You may be a "good person" in your own mind or just a person who made a mistake in your own mind, but that's not how the world works.  You're a good person if you do good things, you're a bad person if you do bad things. 

This child molester is a bad person.  The fact that he's a Christian who profits off of selling family values and disparaging gay people and their families, that just makes him a disgusting hypocrite.
