I changed my party registration for local reasons mostly, and feel my avatar should reflect my actual party affiliation. The Pub party in Columbia County is mostly in the business of being dysfunctional political hacks and screwing the Democratic city of Hudson in every way they can, while handing our financial favors to certain financially connected and endowed influential persons, and all of my friends here are Democrats, and so on. I have not had some ideological epiphany.

Just as one example, the GOP member of the County Board of Elections, is refusing to correct the voter rolls so that the voters in Hudson vote in the right wards, as opposed to the wrong ones, due to mapping and certain other errors, that Jimtex and myself uncovered, for reasons that he refuses to disclose, leaving one only to speculate that the errors benefit certain favored politicians. So, the candidate petition process could be subject to litigation, as could any election result where the counts are close here in the City of Hudson. I may be using my NY law license to file a lawsuit over this particular outrage. Watching the internals of the political process here in New York is arguably considerably less appetizing than watching the making of a sausage out of a pig.
