Seriously, even though he is popular, there need to be opponents for him - the more the merrier! We are not North Korea after all! So, who is going to run against him? (Atlasian Right - I'm looking especially towards you! Run Lumine, run Yankee, just run anyone!)

Someone on the left could always run with a disguise

I agree that there being no contest is a really really bad thing for Atlasia.

Considering:

a) Elections exist in order to find the best candidate for the job
b) We already have the best candidate on the job

Time to call off elections!

Yes. At least there should be one (a few) token opposition candidate(s), if noone wants to give it a try.

Yeah, someone needs to run an opposition campaign for the sake of democracy, regardless of chances of victory, like TNF did against Duke when he ran for his second term.

Good. Bore should be allowed to run unopposed.

The election should definitely be canceled and Bore should be declared President for the life. It's his god given right and he must not be disturbed.

If there's no opponent, I might just declare. I'll probably do no campaigning, but there would be at least two names on the ballot Tongue

This would be the perfect time for a Dr. Cynic candidacy, however, because I actually support Bore and would vote for him over myself, I will not be a candidate, even though the many masses have demanded it. Tongue

Seriously though, somebody should give it a go. Losing campaigns are worthwhile sometimes too.

Ideally someone from an opposite ideological side, so we can at least have some diversity.

Unfortunately. What makes it sadder is that there are several regions they could probably easily reassert themselves in if they organized themselves. They could probably still be a force nationwide if they got their act together.
