Dude Fest, seeing as how Eurovision doesn't even seem to have a mosh pit.

Although I'll admit, I bet Eurovision serves alcohol. But at Dude Fest you just had to drink it outside or at a nearby bar.

Eurovision is campy nonsense.

In conclusion, obviously Eurovision.

I feel as if Dude Fest would have an unpleasant odor.

Is it wrong I don't know what "Dude Fest" is? Should I look it up?

This should give you a pretty good idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgL7Fh6ZjnI

Is the speaker broken or something? What is that dreadful noise?

That's the music. It's not just a bunch of sappy pop ballads like Eurovision.

This year's Eurovision was unusually sappy-pop-ballad-y and not nearly over-the-top and ridiculous enough. All other Eurovision fans of my acquaintance agree with me on this.

I'm honoured that me trolling you on IRC helped inspire you to make another silly poll.

To be fair "Eurovision doesn't even have a mosh pit" is probably the best, most hilarious complaint I have ever heard about it. And it was pretty bland this year, although I don't think the piano on fire got enough love. Have you ever seen a piano on fire at Dude Fest? I didn't think so.

Yes. The slightly androgynous spinning Belgian boy, Ginger Minj from Ru Paul's Drag Race representing Serbia, the buff Tintin dancer from Azerbaijan and the one that looked like Elvira Mistress of the Dark were the honourable exceptions.

Would you consider Dude Fest to also be "over-the-top and ridiculous" as well albeit in a more improvised and unstructured way? Like see the video above or this.

No because I never saw a piano at Dude Fest period.

You know BRTD, one of your dudecore screamo bands could appear on Eurovision. Their off kilter hypermasculinity and lack of popular appeal/musicality could put them in an ironic lead. Which would appeal most to Europeans?

Hypermasculinity? We're talking about people who cry on stage!

I once saw one that had a bunch of copies of this poster at their merch table!

Macho and masculine as F[INKS]

Please note this song is WHERE MY CURRENT DISPLAY NAME COMES FROM and it's less manly than musicals, opera and Lady Gaga.

I thought it was obvious I was being sarcastic (I called your music dudecore screamo ffs) but I am amused you aren't tackling the "lack of musicality" jab. In any case you also didn't answer the actual question.

A lot of the "lack of musicality" you're thinking of is likely deliberate. The sloppiness is all part of the style. It's similar to the musical equivalent of modern art.

For example take this Rainer Maria song, often considered to be one of their best. They're singing out of harmony and off key. That's intentional. If they were singing "correctly" the song would be WAY different. The "dudecore screamo" is simply taking this to the extreme, after all, the "proper" name for the genre is post-emo hardcore, while this is post-emo indie rock.

We've discussed Rainer Maria before, you know I admire them, and you should know by now I'm only poking you to amuse myself. Everyone's tastes are mockable, especially mine but we can't change our tastes.

Anyway you still haven't told me what band of your persuasion would play Eurovision and what song. Surely there is something bizarre and kitschy there somewhere.

I gave some examples in this post:

Um, no. That's also awful and it sounds like AC/DC or something.

I'm talking like this (Germany) or this (France) or this (Italy) or this(Norway).
