Obviously one of the best of all time. A couple years ago, he was my all-time most listened to artists (sumproduct of play counts * track length), and I doubt that's changed.

Not a huge fan of Nebraska (a lot of dull songs on there) or most of his more recent stuff, but that's OK. There's still hours of really, really great material.

I recognize Springsteen's cultural significance. I'm not a huge fan though.

Pretty overrated but he's an okay guy.

He had about 4 or 5 good songs: Blinded by the light (Cover version was better,) Hungry Heart, Dancing in the Dark, Streets of Philadelphia, and The Wrestler (Should have won the Oscar that year for Best Song.)

Terrible. A cheap knock-off version of Bob Dylan. I admit to liking "Born To Run," but that is about all.
Congratulations on being BRTD-level wrong when it comes to music.  This is incredibly disappointing.

Clearly y'all need to listen to Bruce's best album and stop being so goddamn wrong.

"It's Alright, It's Alright, It's alright yeah, its alright, its alright, alright yeah It's Alright, It's Alright" Tongue

I was listening to portions of the Working on a Dream and Magic Albums earlier.

"This Life" from Working on a Dream is one of my all time favorites. As is "Into the Fire" from The Rising Album. I also like Brilliant Disguise, about half of the "Born in the USA" album and "Born to Run".

I like his music I like him even more ideologically. He is a working class guy who wants to help the working class (hence his liberalism) but he also realizes that working class culture is kind of terrible and all his songs are about how he longs to escape it (although dumb working class people don't realize this).

Ugh.  I am a huge Bruce Springsteen fan; I listened to an entire concert of his from '84 today while catching up on paperwork.  Your simplistic assertion that he's some type of person who scoffs at patriotism or traditional values is just flat out stupid.  What's even more stupid is the fact that your opinion of someone would go down based on that.

Writing a song that sh*ts on Vietnam is hardly a knock on American exceptionalism.  It is true that Bruce Springsteen is a very loyal Democrat, but he's of the pro-union, working class variety that I'm surprised you don't scoff at because "muh liberal = enlightened."

Big fan. Quite a few of his albums are great, and then there are the awesome songs.

Not a fan of his politics, although I am a fan of his music. I had the honour of seeing him and the E Street Band back in 2009, all the way up in Glasgow! I can definitely say, it was a great show, one of the best I've ever seen.

I'm also grateful I saw the Boss and the E Street Band when Clarence Clemons was still very much alive and well.

Well my daddy come on the Ohio works
When he come home from World War Two
Now the yard's just scrap and rubble
He said "Them big boys did what Hitler couldn't do."
These mills they built the tanks and bombs
That won this country's wars
We sent our sons to Korea and Vietnam
Now we're wondering what they were dyin' for

Clearly the most massive of FFs.
