Two incredibly contrasting leaders, in terms of personality - the paranoid, intellectual and westernised Mbeki vs. the populist, amiable and gaffe prone Zuma. Almost like Nixon vs Berlusconi, in some respects.

Anyway, which leader is best (or, perhaps more accurately, less bad).

Interestingly, in light of recent declines in the ANC's reputation with the judiciary, I'm changing my answer. Mbeki, even in light of his handling of AIDS and arms deal, never acted in such a bizare outrageous way as the Zuma admin is currently doing. I'm starting to think the Tripiarte Alliance might not even survive to next election.
