Can Jim Webb finish second place in the South Carolina Democratic primary against Hillary Clinton, especially with Southerners, and some disillusioned African-American voters?

Considering how he is one of four candidates in the race, the obvious answer is yes.

No. Sanders is going to get at least 10% everywhere and I don't see Webb ever clearing that benchmark.

He could edge O'Malley out for third, possibly overall since any appeal he might have had is gone I think after Baltimore.

I wouldn't bet on it, but SC will probably be Webb's best state unless he stays in until VA. It's certainly possible though. Maybe a 1/3 chance?

Edit: I think that African Americans that are disillusioned with Hillary will probably go for Sanders over Webb.

If he's a remotely serious candidate by the time SC votes, I don't see why not.

Agreed, though I have a feeling that African American voters will by and large stick to Clinton unless she is completely silent on the issues hurting their community, which is very, very unlikely. Webb will be second in SC, with less than 10% of the vote. Sanders will place second in the remaining states.

Yes, a very distant second to Hillary.

Him and Bernie will probably have a tight fight for second in SC.
