According to a press release this morning, U.S. Senator Thad Cochran married longtime staffer Kay Webber this past weekend.

Webber was at the center of several allegations surrounding Senator Cochran during last year's tumultuous GOP Senate primary between Cochran and Tea Party darling Chris McDaniel.  Cochran's previous wife, Rose, passed away following a protracted illness in December 2014.

What is remotely disturbing about this?

I guess you could play the angle that a couple of "traditional marriage" advocates are getting married when they're too old to have kids (thus undercutting the "marriage is for procreation only" argument), but it's not like Thad has ever really made a big deal over fighting gay marriage anyway.
