Aside from Scottish independence, a great benefit of the Brexit is forcing the UK to rethink their position on the world stage; no longer should it be a thuggish neo-imperialist power and a lackey for American hegenomy if the Washington ends the special relationship.

Congratulations to all those who are no doubt delighted: Putin shills, PRC bots, trots, fascists, Nazis, reprobates, people who plan on being dead in the next year, anti-Semites etc

LOL!

Rrrrrrrule Britannia!

I dislike the idea someone like you who despises our country is singing Rule Britainia.

So? I really dont care what you think. I will sing it again. I learned the text at school, I also learned 'Land of Hope and Glory'. It were the english that fought at Arnhem, that liberated our country. I've always admired the country for its love of freedom and independence.

The dutch and the english had their differences in the past, but right now this referendum gives me and so many people in the Netherlands real hope that democracy isn't completely dead yet.

I wonder who the Leave voters will blame in several years when things don't get much better.

who do you think
I genuinely wonder what the answer of this question would be.

I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

Congrats England.. you've done it!

Congrats England, you killed the EU.

Corrected.

This result is a reason to rejoice for all freedom loving people.

Yeah, 4 years of continued austerity, a stagnant economy at best, continued cuts to social services, and a weakened currency are really something to rejoice about as long as you get to say f_ck you to immigrants.

I wonder who the Leave voters will blame in several years when things don't get much better.

A small amount of economic pain is a small price to pay for the freedom of a nation.  I guess you would have been arguing for King George III in 1776.

Yeah, you tell that you all the poor and old people who are basically done and won't ever recover. More people will join them, but you can tell them they're free!

Ah, they will blame the vile "elites", foreigners, globalizers and whomever. That never changes.

For those who read Spanish

I wouldn't call it just yet - substantial sections of East London are still out, as are Bristol, Cornwall, and traditional Tory areas that are a little more sceptical of leaving - furthermore, I think most of Leave's best areas have now come in. Still, a knife edge.

Still a fair bit of Essex/Kent to come, and a certain East London borough bound to vote Leave has yet to report.

I do agree though, neither side should count their chickens before they hatch.

Britain will basically be subject to the rules of the EU, as no small part of their economy is tied to the EU, and just took its own voice away with regards to writing those rules.

That's the complete opposite of freedom. That's stupidity in the name of feelings.

Because you want to see the UK fail (as for your support of this nights fruitless suicide), I highly doubt you care about this country at all.

I think we can agree that best case for remain they don't make up the current 440k vote margin with uncounted non England votes, which means they have to win the uncounted England votes. That seems unlikely.

Farage may have failed to win an MP seat half-a-dozen times, but he won the one vote that mattered, it seems.

And yet people are still doing that on Atlas forum. What a shock.

Everyone cheering for economic destruction is hilarious.

Pound is the lowest it's been since 1985.
