Everyone cheering for economic destruction is hilarious.

Pound is the lowest it's been since 1985.

It will be great for tourism.

This result is a reason to rejoice for all freedom loving people.

Yeah, 4 years of continued austerity, a stagnant economy at best, continued cuts to social services, and a weakened currency are really something to rejoice about as long as you get to say f_ck you to immigrants.

I wonder who the Leave voters will blame in several years when things don't get much better.

A small amount of economic pain is a small price to pay for the freedom of a nation.  I guess you would have been arguing for King George III in 1776.

Britain will basically be subject to the rules of the EU, as no small part of their economy is tied to the EU, and just took its own voice away with regards to writing those rules.

That's the complete opposite of freedom. That's stupidity in the name of feelings.

You are on the wrong side of history, Clarko. After tonight, the EU will no longer exist.

Just a not to the people celebrating this win for Leave.  The pound has now fallen to a 31 year low on this news, and it continues to go down.  Stock exchanges are all falling at least 3 percent, much more in Europe.  Real world consequences right there.

Edit, it's fallen 10%, it officially a crash.

Harrogate, in Yorkshire, voted to remain. That was rather surprising (to me at least). I figured that it would have left by a 60-40 split.

Greece has been in an economic depression for years now, and they stuck with the EU.

When will they recover, 50-100 years?

15 000 Euros lands you a flat in Thessaloniki, think about that and how much mama Merkel helped them.

Eh, it depends. You can't have a mass influx of refugees and undocumented immigrants. It's not good.

I generally agree with this.   A lot of asset prices will normalize over the next few days.  It will for sure be down but not as dramatic.

Rutland - 50.6 OUT (expected a higher OUT vote here, given how rural it is)

Vladimir Putin smiles at what useful idiots like you have done.

Fearmongering hasn't worked before the referendum and most certainly will not work after the fact.

Is this a good time to mention that Parliament has the final say, this will take years, and with no clear mandate, the can can always be kicked.

It is impressive what Farage accomplished.  Totally unexpected.

Farage may have failed to win an MP seat half-a-dozen times, but he won the one vote that mattered, it seems.

Hmm?

Farage didn't lead the Leave campaign (they actually tried to keep him off the airwaves as much as possible as he's not popular) and didn't trigger this vote.
