Everyone cheering for economic destruction is hilarious utterly depressing.

Pound is the lowest it's been since 1985.

You realize they will not be able to afford to buy our stuff anymore right?

You do realize that the Pound is still stronger than the Dollar, right?  They'll be ok.
Oh my god what?Huh

They'll be fine.  I'm not worried at all.  They wanted this.

15 000 Euros lands you a flat in Thessaloniki,

You want that to be the price of a flat in Westminster?

It is impressive what Farage accomplished.  Totally unexpected.

Farage may have failed to win an MP seat half-a-dozen times, but he won the one vote that mattered, it seems.

Hmm?

Farage didn't lead the Leave campaign (they actually tried to keep him off the airwaves as much as possible as he's not popular) and didn't trigger this vote.

I know.  But he is the one that made having a referendum and having the UK vote to leave EU his main political goal for many years.  Many including myself saw this as quixotic.  But tonight he did it.

Is this a good time to mention that Parliament has the final say, this will take years, and with no clear mandate, the can can always be kicked.

Not to mention the already-discussed matter of what might happen in Scotland. Interesting times ahead!

Well, good thing you don't have to be an economist to vote in the referendum!  It's about what the people want, not what the elites want.  Sorry the world doesn't bend to your will.

The Pound will rally once people realise that the British economy will still exist tomorrow. Ironically, the people most responsible for this current situation are those doom mongers who insist peddling the fantasy that voting to Leave the EU will cause a rapid collapse of the UK economy.

Well Greece is in the Eu, so why the 70+% decline of Housing prices?

Doubt you can say the Eu did good by them Smiley

Why not start an early general election thread, and a Conservative Party leader one at that.  One of those things will happen by the end of the month, and I hope the other could happen as well.

Sure. Couldn´t agree more fully. "Elites", BTW, will be, relatively, fine. It is the common folk that will suffer and die. But then, again, they wanted it. Perhaps they are doing all that just to kill their mother-in-law.

Next election will be based on how many flying pigs each party can guarantee the voters. It's a grand new post-factual age for Britain, where vague hunches and feelings trumps observable data and real life. I cannot believe the Right is celebrating the UK becoming Venezuela.
