As long as this buffoon is the face of the Dem party.

She lost in 2010, 2012, and 2014 yet remains leader. This is the problem with politics in the USA. In the UK Labour, UKIP and LD all lost or fell short and all three leaders resigned. In the USA losing is a resume enhancer.

I don't know why there hasn't some sort of rebellion in the ranks of the Dem House caucus; throw her out and put Hoyer in her place. I guess she wants a female duplet in 2017, but that's just not realistic.

If Democrats re-elect her as minority leader next year, I'll eat my hat.

Boehner is more unpopular than Pelosi, I don't see that stopping Republicans from winning the House.

Speakers don't "win" or "lose" House elections. That's just stupid.

Actually he did get fewer House votes overall in 2012.

Boehner has no reason for voters to like him. He shut down the govt and refuse to pass bills other than appropiations.

He refused common sense immigration reform, and wont create new streams of revenue like closing tax loopholes.

Yeah, they do. Just because they haven't recently doesn't mean they "don't".

To be fair, McConnell should've been gone awhile ago too...failing to get the Senate majority three straight times and only gaining seats one of those times.

In all honesty though, the leaders of the parties in Congress really don't have much to do with what happens in the elections.
