UEFA is not boycotting the upcoming FIFA congress, but is planning to support Prince Ali bin Hussein's bid to become president.

UEFA president Michel Platini says that he urged Blatter to resign which Blatter refused. Therefore he endorses Ali bin Hussein. Platini also indicated that there are some within UEFA who wish to secede from FIFA if Blatter is re-elected.

So... UEFA, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are supporting Ali bin Hussein now.

Blatter is backed by the AFC (minus Australia) and CAF.

It may be not enough to actually topple Blatter, but it's possible that he's only re-elected on the second ballot.

So, how many of the votes did Blatter buy outright?

One day after this re-election, Sepp Blatter went off the deep end in an interview with a Swiss TV station.

Some of the highlights:

- Accusing UEFA that they're motivated by a general "hatred" against his person, and promising that he "won't forget" this.

- Implying that Prince Ali bin Hussein's candidacy was part of an American-led conspiracy against him, pointing out that Prince Ali is part of the Hashemite family which is a close ally of the United States.
