Ugh, not again...I already modified this once before when I messed up the order of years...can't believe I missed Cooper's actual identity (actually GOP, quite on good terms with Ike...but policy wise he sounded like a Democrat...probably missed other things though).

But consider this my first GOP vote by choice [given how Kansas hasn't had any Democratic Senators in 50 years]

John Sherman Cooper was pro-labor and opposed the Vietnam War, so I don't know if I get Democrats, who are supposedly both, voting for the far more conservative Wendell H. Ford over him.
