It is also for any suggestions concerning the convention location. One of the favorites for our convention site is Tampa, Florida. Debate on the ACA forum will begin soon and the vote will be sometime next week.

Thank you for your time.

If last time is any indicator, May 20 - June 20 would be a better guess Smiley

This will be a much better run convention. The guy who's running the show knows what he's doing....or does he?  Smiley

Is the potential nomination of Tampa, Florida a subtle hint that the ACA will be nominating StatesRights to run on its ticket come this June?  Tongue

That has nothing to do with it at all.  Tongue

May I suggest one of the most conservative cities in our great nation, Colorado City, Arizona, as your convention location? Wink

I mean, you can't beat a location that voted Bush over Kerry 606 to 1!

You can suggest whatever you like but we're paying attention to what ACA members are suggesting.  Tongue

Another important announcement: The election is alittle over a month away. The ACA will be holding it's primary somewhere around May 16-18th. Voting in the primary must end by May 19th. We will then jump right into our convention, which will require another official vote from the delegates (any party member).

Now I know it seems unnecessary to have a primary and then basically the next day a convention vote but it has to be done. The election is right around the corner.

Yeah, we were discussing this earlier. We might be able to do it, we might not. Some people will have problems doing a speech for the convention on audio but we'll hammer out the details on that later. Right now we have to worry about the upcoming primary and convention details.

It is in the middle of June, I believe. It doesn't matter that it's not in May. We don't have much time.

Okay, then you're right. I thought it was the last week of June.  As to Naso's suggesstion, I'd be happy to listen to other's recorded speeches, but I'll stick with text based.

We will never get rid of the text convention. That is necessary. The audio is just a nice bonus.

Announcement of the Special Platform Committee

Good evening, everyone. I would like to quickly announce (because a certain ACA Chairman has the SATs tomorrow and needs to get to bed earlier  Wink ) who will be serving on the Special Platform Committee. They are:

- Mr. Jake (as Chairman)
- Mr. WiseGuy
- Mr. PBrunsel

This three person committee shall present a Platform for the ACA to our convention. If any member named wishes not to take part in this committee, there are backups. I would like the committee to get started as soon as possible.

Also, I urge all ACA members to get to the ACA forums and put suggestions for the ACA convention. Voting on the dates and location will begin sometime this weekend. Thank you for your time.
