I like how whenever a Republican mentions "Welfare", "Chicago", or "golf" its evil, racist dog whistle demagoguery. But when a Democrat tells a crowd that clearly contains a strong minority presence that she won't end up white like Obama, there is absolutely no racial connotations. You know, because reasons ... and Lee Atwater!

It's like when I attended a Joe Biden speech in 2012 and he told a predominately black crowd (yeah I was there) "they gonna put yall back in chains." But no, when Democrats do this its charming because privilege.

AMEN. Misunderstood this at first. See what you're saying now. 100% right

Lol. She was funny, witty and awesome in that video, and anyone who can't see that either has no more than two brain cells or is being disingenuous.

It's stuff like this that gives Hillary her righteousness. She dares to act like a human being, and gets attacked for it - and by people appropriating the discourse of racism, no less! Honestly, anti-Clinton whites who appropriate that discourse on behalf of blacks or other minorities are the ones being disrespectful and offensive.

Indeed. If you make up a scandal about Hillary, CCSF will not only take the bait hook, line, and sinker but will also then proceed to attack the person who made it up for disputing its validity.

I am by no means a Hillary fan, but from the source you have, I thought it to be a funny, and true clip.

This thread is ridicoulus. Though I liked the video.

Regarding the accent: HRC lived in Arkansas for some time and I now people in Germany who usually speak high german, but also start talking in a local accent when they come back to a region where they grew up oder lived for  some time.

If Scott Walker had said this, he'd be called racist. Hillary says it, and it's okay.

Why?

I wouldn't call Scott Walker racist if he said this. I'd just make fun of him for an eternity for dying his hair.

Uh, she was talking about all presidents, not just Obama.

Anyway, this scandal will clearly sink her campaign. It makes emailgate look like child's play!

I fully expect salon.com to take this out of context and praise Hillary for being more racially progressive than Obama through her acknowledgement and renunciation of her white privilege.
