Supposing she is elected, who does popular wisdom say she'd likely pick for various Cabinet spots?

Thank you.  I should do my research better.

Well, he would have made a good Secretary of State.

Then Susan Rice.

What credentials would Bayh even have for that job?

Many Presidents have had a cabinet member from the other party,  which shows a willingness to work across party lines.

I propose a Republican for the Clinton cabinet, former Nebraska Governor and Senator Mike Johanns, and former Secretary of Agriculture, for 2 years, under George W Bush, as  either Secretary of Agriculture or Secretary of the Interior.

Maybe she should make Donald Trump her Secretary of Defense, because, you know, he has a TOP SECRET plan to defeat ISIS.

If Hillary doesn't pick Julian Castro for VP, I imagine she'll keep him around in his current job. Not sure on the others. I think she'll be smarter than Obama in that she won't pick Dem governors from red states (Arizona, Kansas) for her cabinet though.

If Ferguson has never happened, I would say Jay Nixon would be a prime candidate for Secretary of Agriculture or another spot. Now, he's probably too toxic. Any thoughts on Jeanne Shaheen or Claire McCaskill, assuming that Democrats hold onto the governor's mansions next year?

What credentials would Bayh even have for that job?

While in the U.S. Senate, Bayh served on the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, the  Subcommittee on Energy, the Subcommittee on National Parks, and the Subcommittee on Water and Power.

From Wikipedia:

On September 11, 2008, Bayh joined the Gang of 20, a bipartisan group designed to promote comprehensive energy reform. During the announcement, Bayh said:

“On the seventh anniversary of September 11th, it is deeply troubling that we import more oil from the Middle East today than we did on the day of the attacks. Ensuring families have access to affordable energy is one of the defining challenges of our time, but Washington is stuck. The process to fix this problem has broken down, and we just can’t afford that anymore. I’m joining this substantial group of Republicans and Democrats to make progress and actually get something done for struggling Hoosier motorists.”

So he does have knowledge and legislative experience in the energy field, and has definite ideas and proposals in this matter.

Then again, Evan Bayh will be picked by Hillary Clinton for Vice President anyway, so he will have other responsibilities in a Hillary Clinton administration.

Clearly made up of Senators from swing-states with little to no expertise in the area in which they are randomly assigned by a poster.

Nixon can still be in a cabinet position.

Claire McCaskill is on the Clinton Kill list after her 2008 comments so no chance she'd get anything.

Do cabinet posts, apart from Defense, Attorney and State actually do anything major? I mean they're talked and talked about but once they actually get in they seem to do  all. The only time you hear about them again is it they're getting sacked

I imagine it will look a lot like Obama's in the fact that there won't be many congresspeople in it, mostly because the Dems can't afford it in the Senate or House.

She'll probably pick the old Clinton loyalists. I could definitely see her appointing Fink.
