FTR, the reason I posted "posted without comment" is that I legitimately do not know if this is a scandal or not. On the surface, it seems like one, but certainly nothing on the Akin level.

Replace "Sanders" with "Akin" and its on the front pages. It's deplorable the amount of privilege having a D by your name gets you in media and pop culture, no matter how outrageous your commentary.

The fact that the source in OP has to keep explaining how it would be more problematic if a GOP candidate had done this is sort of mind numbingly hilarious.  Are Republicans even capable of creativity?  People only find them entertaining because they have adapted to respond to misery with laughter.
