Isn't it a gubernatorial appointment?

Yeah, I think it's an appointment. If Governor Andrew sees that a Lt. Governor is needed, I'd certainly support my fellow Pennsylvanian (and fellow Philadelphian), J.J.

I have no idea, but if so, it's a good way to ask.  :-)

I'd love to see J. J. as Lt. Gov, personally. I've always hoped he'd eventually wander into Fantasy politics and stay for a while. Smiley

Hmm, I generally oppose any expansion of government.  However, if Andrew feels the need, J.J. would make an excellent choice.

Well I think the Lt. Gov. is a position that needs to be filled. The Lt. Gov. is supposed to be the Chief Judicial Officer of the region and is needed, especially around election time. I think J.J would be great for this job.

Should I run for Lt. Gov. of the Northeast.  It's vacant.

You're hearby appointed Wink

Make sure to take the oath in the Government forum when you get a chance.

Governor, I thank you for the appointment.   I thank all those who supported me as well.

I will post the following oath, if acceptable:

I, J. J., do solemnly affirm that I will faithfully execute the office of Lieutenant Governor of the Northeast, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution for the United States Election Atlas Forum Constitution and of the Southeastern Region, so help me Dave.

Two questions:

1. Is the oath correct?  I have not signed it, yet.

2.  Does the Northeast have a constitution.

I could not find a copy.

As a point, the new Constitution made a textual change to the oath as regards the name of the country bit; It is now:

"I, [state name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of [state office name] and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Republic of Atlasia, so help me Dave."

My office contains a copy of the constitution along with all the legislation passed...

Thank you, I found the constitution (and copied it).

Should the oath include both the state and national constitutions?  That is the question.

There is no legal requirement for you to swear an oath to the Federal constitution, as this is only required of federal officers, though almost all of the Regional officers do so.

Just for the record, I feel that the regional constitution should require an oath to both the state and national constitutions.
