I'm not sure the unicameral legislature is the reason for these great things, though it is a part of it, I think it's also the fact the legislature is non-partisan.

Don't worry, Pataki has this guy beat. He once got 119 vetoes overriden on the same day, and the vote was unanimous on all the overrides in the State Senate, which he had once been a member of.
