Quite frankly, for this to happen, the Clinton campaign would have to completely collapse due to scandal, and the Democratic base would have to have turned against her in a massive way.

Hillary's campaign brass would have to start jumping ship.

And the desertion from Clinton by Democrats would have to show up in polls that are confirmed by subsequent polls.

The campaign would have to be strictly on issues, especially economic inequality.  The entire "Madam President" thing would need to fade away, as would, to a degree, the "electability" issue.

We have a media that is all about Bread and Circuses, so I don't think this could happen.  Too many "Movement Progressives" are more concerned about the feminist angle than about the issue of income inequailty, at least when it comes to actually voting.

Clinton would actually have to start running against income inequality rather than for it, or making it the centerpiece of her campaign as she has been so far.
