Clearly its liberals who are champions of individual freedom.
In the end it's always the fascists vs the freedom fighters.  Left and right don't matter.

Life is like dinner, a movie, and bang bang.

The Democrats will ruin the dinner.  The Republicans will ruin the bang bang.  And they will come together to ruin the movie.

All us proles are assured of is that "IT'S A DATE!"

Somebody needs to extinguish a cigarette on Jerry Brown's best suit.

Wonderful news! The freedom of tobacco companies to kill people is not a freedom that is at all worth protecting.

If a Republican legislature and governor supported this, you'd accuse them of getting into people's personal lives.

Do you have any ideology or conviction outside of thinking Republicans are evil and icky??  It's getting old.

You are proposing a hypothetical that isn't possible. Republicans would never restrict cash flush special interests from ruining American lives for profit.

Go  yourself. This is a misguided policy, but not one that should incur suffering on the state.

There are better things to do with the supermajority's time, but given I'm not a tobacco fetishist I find it hard to care either way.

That's a fine opinion, kid. I wish more liberals thought like you.

Basically, if you wanna stop eating meat, you can. But if you wanna ban others from eating it, you're negatively impacting their freedoms and that's unacceptable. Your opinion I find tolerable.

Republicans wouldn't raise the smoking age. They'd just enact regulations to shut down 90% of the tobacco shops, make you wait 3 days to buy cigarettes and then have to drive two hours one way to buy them, but only after getting parental consent and filing an affidavit with the court.

I don't recall any liberals criticizing the Nebraska legislature for banning the death penalty.

I can see a Republican state lowering the smoking age to increase profits for tobacco. That would receive much praise.

It's not really a big deal, the drinking age is 21, so it's not like this really represents a huge restriction on freedom.

"Freedom" is a nebulous concept anyway. I'm not a 19th century Liberal, why I should hold the theory of 'negative liberties' with anything less than withering contempt?

If age limits meant anything, people wouldn't be talking about Budweiser yanking its sponsorship of FIFA as a way to kneecap that organization.

The creeping infantilization of American adults continues.
That assumes that 18 to 20 year olds should be considered full adults. Personally, I don't think they should be, tho to be honest, I didn't think so when I was that age.

Wrong. It's a man-made drought because of our Democrat policies. Voters are reaping what they've sewn in both regards.
