I could go for that.  Not a bad idea, Madam Secretary.

A great idea. Reporting turnout based on registered voters instead of eligible voters has long been a way to obscure the percentage not voting: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2015/05/06/proof-that-voter-turnout-in-the-u-s-is-embarrassing/

I really don't understand the appeal of mass voting. All this means is more legal plunder.

Bring back the good old days of stuffed ballot boxes, party bosses, and smoke filled rooms I say.

Yes yes, to the good old days of Grover Cleveland.

Take your ridiculous fear of voter fraud elsewhere.

Needless to say, FF proposal!

I'm not going to not support a proposal I like just because Hillary likes it too. That is beyond retarded, and goes directly against the common ground finding  / compromising nature that I really do want to see more of in our political system.

Completely agree with her proposal, still not voting for her.

Something about that chart is wrong:

In Austria, every person who has reached voting age is automatically registered to vote, which means the blue and gold dots should be in the same spot and not apart from each other.

It will take some time to implement this, but this is the right way to go.

FF. This would stop Republican voter suppression once and for all.

While it would help it wouldn't do anything to stop voter ID laws or reduced hours/days for voting.

But this is good politics for Hillary as it is another thing the base loves and it is hard for the GOP to argue against.

Endorsed.
All western democracies do it and nobody ever complained about feeling less free because of that.

It'd require a Constitutional Amendment to be mandatory and very, very, very few states are likely to take it up on their own.

It is a good idea, I just don't see it going anywhere past where it already exists.

I was reluctantly dragged to this speech (and still probably won't vote for her), but I couldn't help but excited by this part and actually joined the standing ovation. Too bad there's no chance in hell any of it goes through.
