Re: the color.

The dark red wasn't picked completely at random.  Obviously it needed to be somewhere on the 'red' scale but different enough from Dem red, and I figured pink wouldn't go over too well (unless you're French), so I picked the same shade that Dave uses for >90% D on his maps.  Not that that's symbolic in itself, but I wanted to use a color shade that felt somewhat familiar.

You could have picked a uh... Scotland shaped red Cheesy

Not that I particularly care one way or another, but a Colombian avatar would be cool.

i've added some to my folder:

Hi - yes, I have all of these - The open question is about the color code and whether its too easy to confuse with D.  What are the thoughts?

Thanks,
Dave

the dark red is fine but maybe the borders should be changed to grey (#353535) to match the other avatars.

while you're at it, mr leip, would you mind adding these other avatars i created a while back? (i've added socialist versions as well)
If we're going to have avatars for Palestine, they should use the ISO 3166 code of PS for Palestinian State, and definitely not PT which I presume was intended for Palestinian Territory, as PT is already in use for Portugal.

fixed, thanks

Yes, after we smash the noses of the bourgeoisie on the pavement of course.

Some people are taking the AVATAR MUST REPRESENT A PARTY NOT AN IDEOLOGY thing a little seriously, but for the rest of you, you're welcome.  Smiley

I'm fine with avatars representing ideologies, but then you need to add avatars for other ideologies as well.

In other words, I demand a Social Democracy avatar! Tongue

Social democracy is a form of socialism, though. Probably why a lot of us don't mind sporting these avatars.

I don't like them. I'll stick to my NDP orange, even after I move to California.

I know it's an American Elections website, but there really should be colors for foreign parties at this point. The international elections board is pretty sizable.

Yeah I guess I could quit my job and just do that full time instead.

The International Elections board is for discussing foreign elections, not for posting your political views.
