I think if Labour stood two candidates in this election, both would get in. There's just no-one currently running as a Labour candidate at the moment - for various reasons.

Yeah, I'd even say we have the votes to get three in (at a stretch) There's a massive recruitment and activity problem-most likely because its summer

That's why I'm not seeking re-election - about a month into this assembly term, I travel to Uganda for a month.

If there are no Labour candidates near the close of nominations, I'll stand to ensure that there's a balance in the assembly - and I'll resign just before I leave for Uganda (to allow someone who will be around for that period to have a seat).
