Sounds like it was created by a muslim version of BRTD.  Personally, I don't mind outright sacrilege and blasphemy, in fact I enjoy both.  But, this kind of religious dilettantism is annoying, where you adopt a religion, only to make it all about you.

are there any videos/examples of this actually existing?  I've known about the Wiki article for years but I've never come across taqwacore in any other document, video, etc.

I actually listened to some of it years ago and liked what I heard. I've liked a few christcore bands also. If music is good i'll listen to it. Short of someone being a neo-nazi I don't really give a sh**t about an artists religious or political views.
